Okay, so I'm not in the best frame of mind right now (i.e. not sober), but I just read one of the most horrific conversations I've ever seen on FaceBook. And I'm a bit stunned by it. Read this, por favor:

I felt the need to go on a rant and this blog seemed like the most appropriate place to go off...in a logical and calm manner =) In today's society, there is a huge double standard between men and women. I think we've all been aware of this for quite some time, but I'm about to go into detail on just how ridiculous this standard is becoming. Disclaimer: I am not a lesbian or feminist.
Let's start with Duck Face: First of all, fuck you if you hate on chicks that do it. Who gives a flying fuck if a girl puckers out her lips??? I sure as hell don't and I sure as hell do it! Why? It's supposed to show attitude or even just showcase wanting to give a kiss. Why in the hell does this bother guys and other girls so much? It's not like guys do ANY better. Let's talk about that retardedly serious/stern face guys like to do. Their lips are pulled tight and they probably have on a douchey pair of sunglasses (even though they're in their bathroom). It's like, "Yeah, I'm a man. Gr." As if, dude. You look fucking dumb. But nobody points this out because it's a guy and nobody cares what kind of pictures they take. So everyone, please get off the duck face's dick and try to find something that has actual importance to bitch about.
This next paragraph kind of stays along the same lines, people hating on certain kinds of pictures. If a chick chooses to have her boobies all out in a pic, then let her and leave her the fuck alone about it. Now, granted, I can understand where this gets a little fucked up when the chick is under the age of 17, but if she's legal, who cares???? Again, guys take pics of themselves with their shirts off ALL the time. And they even FLEX!!! Oh the humility! It's called showcasing your assets, people, and if you got it, flaunt it. But for some reason guys are allowed to do this, where as a woman will be judged and deemed as a trashy slut. Well, there's a lot of trashy, slutty guys in the world then, too. I find it even more annoying that women are expected to show their ass and tits during bikini season, but if she posts a pic of it on the internet, she's definitely a dirty whore.
I think that's really the only things I wanted to point on this post. We're all aware that men can fuck all they want, where as it's not acceptable for a woman to do it. All that shit is obvious. I think what kills me the most about this double standard is this: Women help it out. We do it when we judge each other and call each other whores and sluts. Men will never fully respect us if we can't even respect each other.
I am a straight, 20-year-old woman. I have sex, I burp, I curse like a sailor, and I do the duck face (occasionally with my tits out). None of those things should make you decide you don't like me if you've never had an actual face to face conversation with me. Anywho ya'll, please just open up your eyes and your minds and think before you go bitching and judging. And next time you see a girl doing duck face or having her titties out, try to think hey, good for her! Happy 4th of July as well! =)

Ugly Babies
In the matter of reproduction, most people are worried about having a child with a mental or genetic disorder, i.e. Autism or Down Syndrome. But I realized that my greatest fear is having a completely healthy and happy baby that is down right ugly.
Now, babies are lucky because they can be cute and adorable in many forms. The versatility works in their favor, but you cannot deny that there are some babies that are down right ugly. Some will say, "We're all beautiful in our own way." Yeah, whatever, but I guarantee there's been a point when they were thinking, "Shit, that person/baby is ugly" and just don't have the balls to admit.
A girl I went to high school with had a baby about six months ago and, like any proud parent, she posted hundreds of photos of her baby boy on Facebook. So I go to check this kid out, like any good Facebook stalker would, and I literally jumped away from my computer because that was definitely a face only a mother could love! I felt bad for my reaction, but DAAAMMMNN. My face kinda morphed into the face of the baby for a moment; ya know, that "what the fuck is going on?" look with the big eyes, mildly gasping mouth, and slightly tilted and raised eyebrows. Now, the mother was pretty fucking ugly herself, but I was REALLY holding out hope for this child that his dad's genes would override any and all of her genes. However, this was not the case. In fact, the mixture of their genes was just fucking horrible, almost Frankenstein worthy.
I'm not completely insensitive though. Like I get it, parents have no control over how their babies look when they come out and it's not like they can hide them in a dungeon or something so, yeah, go ahead and post their ugly faces on Facebook (you're kind of morally obligated). But I don't know who to feel sorry for more: The kid that's gonna be pissed when he/she hits puberty and those pics are floating around or the parent that has to fake like their kid is so cute and just hope that he/she turns out looking halfway decent by the time they're twenty.
With this being said, not all hope is lost for babies of ugly parents. I've seen a scrawny, meth-head looking man and a huge, rat-beast looking woman create one of the cutest little baby girl's I've ever laid eyes on. So, like I said, there's just no controlling what a child will look like. I'm not "hating" on the baby or the parents. But fuck, that would just SUCK!
So, there's my inspiration to not get knocked up: ugly fucking babies. For the shallow little girls in high school that think a baby is just a long-lasting fashion statement that might get them their own TV show, this will be the best form of contraception for them: education about just how not cute babies can turn out. So spread the word about ugly babies! You'll only be helping society.
